Available today: GPT-5.5 Thinking and ChatGPT Images 2.0 in Microsoft 365 Copilot

Today, we’re excited to share some exciting updates regarding Microsoft 365 Copilot, which now features the advanced capabilities of GPT-5.5 Thinking and ChatGPT Images 2.0. These enhancements provide enhanced support for in-depth analysis, multi-step tasks, and visual content creation.

GPT-5.5 Thinking is currently available in Copilot Studio’s early release cycle. It’s being introduced as GPT-5.5 Reasoning and is gradually rolling out across Microsoft 365 Copilot tools, including Copilot Chat, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Meanwhile, ChatGPT Images 2.0 is now available in PowerPoint and is set to launch soon in Copilot Chat.

In combination with Work IQ, these new features empower Copilot to deliver more focused, relevant, and comprehensive results for your analysis, creation, and more complex tasks.
