Partner Blog | FY27 is the year to execute on AI: A starting point for Azure partners

FY27 marks a pivotal year for advancing artificial intelligence. For Azure partners, this means taking significant steps to bring AI initiatives into practical use, refreshing the core infrastructure of cloud services, data management, applications, security, and governance, all while linking these efforts to clear, measurable outcomes for customers.

Each partner within our ecosystem begins this journey from a different stage. Some are already successfully implementing AI in real-world scenarios, while others are working hard to update older systems, consolidate their data, or bolster their security and governance practices to prepare for future developments. The real opportunity lies in understanding each customer’s current position and crafting actionable plans for their progress.

To support this initiative, Microsoft has tailored its FY27 customer engagements, go-to-market strategies, incentives, training, and partner resources to align with this vision. We’re prioritising the customer’s goals over simply introducing products.

Customers typically don’t approach us seeking a suite of technologies. Instead, they bring challenges, aspirations, or desired outcomes: they may want to update an outdated application, make scattered data more actionable, enhance security measures, boost employee efficiency, automate certain tasks, or develop an innovative customer experience.

This should serve as the starting point for FY27. Meaningful conversations will lay the groundwork for customers to be prepared for AI. Depending on individual needs, this could involve upgrading infrastructure and applications, consolidating data on a regulated platform, enhancing security practices, or putting in place the necessary controls to confidently deploy AI solutions.
