Partner Case Study | CTERA

CTERA Networks Ltd, with its headquarters in Israel and New York, is dedicated to helping organisations weave a connected data network, unlocking its true value. CTERA supports some of the globe’s largest Fortune 500 companies and government entities. Its clientele typically includes widely dispersed organisations, functioning across various core and edge sites such as manufacturing plants, hospitals, local government offices, law firms, and remote workspaces. These organisations manage data volumes ranging from hundreds of terabytes to petabytes.

Since the early days of Microsoft Azure, CTERA has enjoyed a partnership with Microsoft, now serving over 60 clients on Azure’s computing and storage infrastructure. Their Intelligent Data Platform, purchasable through the Microsoft Marketplace, offers a software-defined global file system that intelligently caches data at various sites based on how often it’s accessed. Azure Blob Storage acts as the main, secure, and unchangeable copy, while Azure Premium SSDs and Azure Virtual Machines serve as essential components of the infrastructure. Additionally, CTERA integrates seamlessly with Microsoft’s suite of security, productivity, and AI solutions, including Microsoft Purview, Sentinel, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Copilot, enabling secure collaboration and AI-driven insights.

By concentrating on large enterprises and government agencies, CTERA utilises Microsoft Marketplace to simplify the procurement, legal assessments, and vendor onboarding processes—which can often be tricky. Offering solutions through the marketplace allows customers with Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment to count eligible purchases towards their cloud budget, all while gaining the advantage of Microsoft’s trusted relationships. The marketplace also boosts product visibility and provides insights into how the market is engaging, enabling CTERA to better assist customers and sharpen its strategies.
